Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour + generous share of Tronc payments
Are you a passionate and organised chef looking to grow in a high-quality, creative kitchen? Our AA Rosette-awarded boutique hotel and village pub in Welwyn is looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our talented team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for assisting in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop menus and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes to the required standard.
2. Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff and operations.
3. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
4. Contribute to menu planning and development.
5. Help maintain kitchen inventory and ordering supplies.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar role within a high-quality kitchen.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
4. Passion for food and creativity in cooking.
