AWS is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Data Engineer who is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying Supply Chain Analytical Solutions. In this role you will collaborate with business leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain Organization. In this, you will work closely with a team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Scientists to architect data ingestion from multiple internal process, tools and systems into unified data architecture using AWS Cloud technologies. You will be using the best of available tools, including Amazon Redshift, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Elastic Search. You will be responsible for building augmented analytical solution to drive business outcome through seamless integration of analytics and business insight.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build and improve Data Warehouse / Data Mart solution by translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
2. Design and Develop Dimensional Data Models to support Data Warehouse Architecture.
3. Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end.
4. Write effective APIs.
5. Perform detailed source-system analysis, source-to-target data analysis, and transformation analysis.
6. Design and build data mappings from multiple source systems to data warehouse, maintaining source data integrity.
7. Participate in the full development cycle for ETL: design, implementation, validation, documentation, and maintenance.
8. Evolve the Data Warehouse environment within the organization, including better information delivery mechanisms and methodologies.
9. Work to develop the best technical design and approach for new solution development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, or a related field and expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB), web servers (e.g. Apache, Apache Tomcat).
- Expertise in Python/ R and experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes with application deployment using CI/CD.
- Experience with distributed version control such as Git and basic knowledge of Linux environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
