We are recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for our clients who operate this daytime venue, which also hosts evening events. This role involves working alongside the head chef to build on the great reputation the kitchen holds locally for the food served here.
Offering a great work/life balance with predominantly daytime hours, along with a few early evenings for the various events the venue holds weekly, this is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to excel in a kitchen that is geared around an all-day food offering.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience in a fresh food led kitchen team, whether in a hotel, restaurant, or gastro pub environment
* Experience managing teams, with the skills to enthuse & engage junior chefs
* Ability to work independently, as there will be times when it is a one chef kitchen on quieter days
* Experience in menu planning, stock control & kitchen management
* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest allergen, H&S, and COSHH regulations, ensuring compliance in all relevant kitchen H&S management
* A drive and desire to push yourself every day, with proven career progression within the group
