With expertise in diverse cuisines and cooking techniques, you possess a comprehensive understanding of the catering and hospitality industry, including hotels, conference centres high-quality pubs, and restaurants, as well as outside catering. Hours are very sociable hours for a hospitality environment - with earliest starts usually at 8am and latest finish usually around 8pm with one late night a month (9pm). What your typical day involves Catering to residents, visitors and the public across the village which includes an 80-cover table d’hôtel Restaurant, 40 cover Bistro/Cafe bar, 40 cover Club House Cafe and 3 Care Home dining rooms. Excellent Leadership to inspire a kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes consistently. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current food trends. Work within the extensive HACCP framework tailored to a Health Care Environment. Train and mentor, the kitchen team. Respond to residents and customer dietary needs and preferences. Taking responsibility for all food stuffs etc. in the kitchen, including budgeting, ordering, checking, storage, preparation, and disposal of waste food Working collaboratively with other department heads and function organisers for special events. Consistently delivering a high standard of food and service while working to a fixed budget. Who we’re looking for. ideally with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent City & Guilds award.
