You will support teams across NICE to work more effectively with information, whilst also ensuring NICE can demonstrate compliance with information legislation and policies. Initially, you will be focusing on NICE's compliance with Public Records Act and ensuring NICE meets its statutory requirements. In addition, you will play a central role in the ongoing management of a comprehensive organisation-wide Records Management programme to ensure effective policies and processes are in place to support NICE business.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead the RM aspects of the migration to SharePoint/ Microsoft 365. Working within a project team, you will ensure information is reviewed and managed appropriately, support change management and embed benefits of changes, while delivering further maturity to the records and information culture and behaviours across NICE.
2. Contribute to and where required lead on NICE wide projects related to IM/RM.
3. Ensure NICE information is managed in line with relevant legislation and standards and actively monitor compliance including planning and overseeing annual audits and lead the promotion of good IM/RM across NICE, and help teams identify and manage risks and issues.
4. Ensure appropriate guidance is available to staff across NICE - update existing guidance as required, and making it suitable for translation to M365.
5. Own the retention and disposal schedule, ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose to ensure information is managed throughout its lifecycle and maintain a business classification scheme for NICE including a metadata model in SharePoint.
6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with The National Archives - including responding to Records Transfer Reports.
7. Ensure NICE remains compliant with transfers of records to The National Archives under the Public Records Act.
8. Line manage the Assistant Information and Records Manager.
9. Deputise for the Head of IG and RM as and when required.

Person Specification
Education
* Educated to degree level or relevant experience.
Qualifications
* Recognised Information/Records Management qualification or relevant experience of operating in a specialist RM role.
Experience
* Experience of providing expert RM advice and guidance to a range of staff/stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience of appraising records and knowledge of transfers of records to The National Archives.
* Experience of managing SharePoint (and wider M365 suite) for Records Management.
Skills
* Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for Records Management including Public Records Act 1958 and Freedom of Information Act 2000.
* Thorough knowledge of the principles of electronic document management systems/modern records storage systems.
Other
* Excellent attention to detail with a thorough and systematic approach to tasks and high standards of accuracy.
