XCL are working with a market-leading company that is expanding and looking for a driven External Sales Executive to join their thriving team in the Lancashire and Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-oriented individual with strong sales experience, ideally within the Timber Industry, who thrives on building and maintaining client relationships and is looking to grow within a company that values career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage sales of a wide range of products to a diverse client base, including contractors, developers, merchants, manufacturers, and more.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through regular face-to-face meetings, site visits, and follow-ups.
* Proactively identify new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
* Provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs, creating and presenting quotes with timely follow-ups to secure business.
* Work closely with the internal sales team to ensure a smooth customer experience and seamless order fulfilment.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
* Manage a sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and high conversion rates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Proven sales experience, ideally in the construction, manufacturing, or building supplies sector.
* A strong understanding of the products and services relevant to the industry.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and exceed sales targets.
* Confident, professional communication skills, with a strong ability to negotiate and close deals.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
* Proficient in IT and CRM systems.
* Full UK driving license required.
