Role Overview
To proactively drive revenue by researching, identifying, and developing relationships with local and Scottish corporate clients. The Sales Executive will ensure the successful delivery of small meetings, conferences, and banqueting events, from initial lead generation to contract finalisation. This role is essential in maintaining and expanding P&J Live’s presence in the corporate market through excellent client relationship management and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactively research, identify and develop qualified leads.
2. Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new local and Scottish corporate clients to bring new business to P&J Live.
3. Produce fully costed proposals and bid documents for small meetings, conferences and banquets, progressing to client meeting/site visit and eventually contractual stage.
4. Develop and secure contracted business in line with the agreed overall sales team budget and target.
5. Identify and promote upsell opportunities to clients for small meetings and conferences, with regards to AVIT, food and beverage, production and exhibition facilities.
6. Prepare banqueting proposals, in line with client requirements, sell themed events, upsell production and increase revenue opportunities.
7. Work with the wider sales and marketing team to develop promotional ideas and online content for engagement targeted at the local corporate sector.
8. Represent P&J Live at local and Scottish trade shows and events.
9. Assist with the planning and delivery of local client events, working alongside sales and marketing colleagues.
10. Conduct client show-rounds and site visits.
11. Work closely with the venue operations team to ensure feedback is obtained from each client as part of the sales process, attending post-event meetings with clients where possible.
Key Skills and Experience
1. Tourism/Event Management Qualification or equivalent.
2. Tourism and/or event industry knowledge.
3. Sales and negotiation skills.
4. Good planning and organisational skills.
5. Good IT, presentation and proposal writing skills.
6. Experience in a sales-focused role, preferably in the business tourism/hospitality industry.
7. A good track record of achieving targets.
