As a Training Manager, you will be at the heart of a team of outstanding colleagues including a Head of EPRR Training, Senior EPRR Training Managers and EPRR Training Coordinators. You will meet with team members, and subject matter experts across a range of organisations and professions and turn their requirements into course content that makes an impact and prepares colleagues and the organisation for emergency incidents. Your delivery of this training will directly support colleagues to work effectively in their organisations and will support some colleagues to undertake exercises with confidence. You will have a genuine interest in the teaching, learning and assessment process. You will be an essential colleague in delivery against UKHSAs strategic objectives, as part of our Category 1 responder status to major incidents. You will collaborate with colleagues on a remote and hybrid basis, and will deliver training provision through online, blended, hybrid and in-person methods. As a Training Manager you will be responsible for co-designing and implementing teaching materials on courses within pre-existing frameworks. Training Managers are critical in the training delivery process, ensuring delegates and candidates are learning and can apply their learning. Training Managers will: work with Training Coordinators to ensure courses are run efficiently and that resources are appropriately assigned Ensure courses are delivered in accordance with agreed standards in EPRR training, and any appropriate assessments are conducted with rigor and in accordance with regulations of the awarding organisation. Training Managers are responsible for the end-to-end process for teaching, learning & assessment, and will work closely with Senior Training Managers in the design and delivery process, innovating where appropriate, and using best practice in teaching and learning for adults. The Training Managers will also ensure courses are sufficiently promoted, working with Training Coordinators to ensure stakeholders are made aware of the programme offer, and will maintain appropriate records relating to key quantitative data as required by the EPRR Training team and the EPRR Division. This role has a travel element (usually within the UK), including overnight stays. Though International travel be required at times. Minimum Level 3 full teaching/training qualification (e.g., Cert Ed) Experience of teaching adults Experience in the design, delivery, evaluation, and/or assessment, of training in EPRR Effective communicator, both verbally and in written form. Flexible approach to working arrangements and able to work away from home; including possession of a current passport or willingness to obtain one, and able to travel by air to international events. At least two observers will be present and will provide an evaluation of your session for discussion. The other part will be a Success Profiles interview, with a panel. For the microteach, you will be given advance notice of the topic and teaching arrangements, if selected for stage 2.
