The role To deliver high quality data and legislative support to existing customers, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience. To build strong relationships with customers through the understanding of their needs and requirements to support with their packaging data and legislative obligations. You can read more information about the packaging compliance and plastic tax regulations by following the below links: • Packaging Compliance: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/extended-producer-responsibility-for-packaging-report-packaging-data • Plastic Tax: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/plastic-packaging-tax The responsibilities (there are more) • Maintain and develop relationships with our packaging compliance members, providing technical and data support as required. • Verification of customer data submissions to the regulator, collaborating with the wider packaging team to ensure accurate and timely submissions. • Understand and interpret compliance legislation in the context of customer business activities (full training on the regulations will be given). • Conduct customer meetings and audits (at the customer site and/or desktop), providing assistance with recommendations from regulator audits. • Administrative support including updating of customer details, data resubmissions among other quality checks. • Proactive input into improving the packaging service delivery including customer experience, efficiencies and developing new customer resources. You will have an appetite for learning, being able to absorb new information quickly and effectively, interpret guidance and apply this to different scenarios. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office, with a specific focus on Excel, and have a logical and methodical approach with an eye for detail. The role is fast paced and varied, so you should be prepared to think on your feet, and able to prioritise and manage your workload effectively. To thrive in this role, you will be passionate about excellent customer service and excited to work for a business for good. You must have a strong work ethic, with excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to meet internal and external deadlines. You will have a ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, be flexible and highly resilient to change, and will be committed to growing with the business A UK driving licence will be required to carry out on site customer visits. We require all members of staff to work from the office 3 days a week, therefore living within commuting distance to Skipton should be considered when applying.
