Our client is a successful and established hospitality group, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are currently looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The job you will be doing;
* Providing the highest quality of service to guests
* Be instrumental in achieving hotel and business objectives
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel and oversee all departments
* Support operations management by advising on policy and procedures
* Ensuring all urgent matters are addressed correctly and in accordance with company policy
* Make sure all health and safety compliance is met throughout the hotel
* Develop staff and management through mentoring and coaching
* Conduct quarterly appraisals with the team
* Follow all recruitment procedures and ensure these are adhered to
* Create rotas for the needs of the business, and review all holiday requests to maintain cover
* Ensure all training is up to date and takes place
* Maintain cleanliness and address maintenance issues using a daily compliance diary
* Ensure the site adheres to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Licensing
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all standards are being met
* Ensure the site achieves a 5-star EHO rating
* Communicate effectively with the Area General Manager and the team
About You
* Previous Hotel Management experience is essential.
* Have a passion for excellent service and enjoy working in professional surroundings
* Demonstrate a hands-on approach and an outstanding personality
* Be a team player and an effective leader by setting examples
* Be able to create a great atmosphere by welcoming customers
* Be confident and self-motivated, displaying a passionate commitment to the business
