Sous Chef – The Old Beams, Ibsley
We’re looking for an ambitious, passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Old Beams – a beautiful 11th-century country pub nestled in the heart of the New Forest in Ibsley. With a reputation for hearty, seasonal dishes and warm hospitality, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and vibrant food-led pub.
As Sous Chef, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team in the kitchen – supporting the Head Chef with daily operations, delivering consistently high-quality food, and helping to drive innovation and standards. You’ll take ownership when required, lead by example, and help train and inspire the wider kitchen team.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or confident CDP ready to step up
* A love for classic British pub food with a seasonal, modern twist
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and a calm, positive presence in the kitchen
* High standards of food safety, cleanliness, and prep management
