Grade I listed hotel in Herefordshire seeks experienced Sous Chef to oversee kitchen operations, supervise junior chefs, and ensure food safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring all stations are organized and prepared for service.
* Train and supervise junior chefs, promoting a collaborative working environment.
* Monitor and maintain food safety standards, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
* Manage inventory levels and control food costs to meet financial targets.
* Support Head Chef in maintaining customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback.
Requirements
* Sous Chef with experience in branded environments.
* Ability to create a supportive culture and encourage teamwork.
* Willingness to challenge if standards aren't met.
* Passionate chef committed to great food and service.
Key Skills
* Understanding of branded menu requirements.
* Experience managing orders, food stocks, and forecasting against occupancy.
