We are currently seeking a Skilled Data Engineer to join a leading Professional Services client based in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact data engineering projects, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Azure, Databricks, and Data Lakes .
About the Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data solutions that will drive actionable insights for a range of professional services clients. You will play a critical role in the design and implementation of data architecture, working with large datasets to ensure their availability, reliability, and security across a variety of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and manage data lakes and data pipelines using Azure and Databricks .
* Develop and optimise solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and storage to support analytics and reporting needs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
* Implement data models and frameworks to ensure clean, efficient, and usable datasets.
* Troubleshoot and optimise performance for data-related processes and workflows.
* Ensure compliance with data security policies and best practices, ensuring the integrity and privacy of sensitive data.
* Participate in the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and processes within the team.
What You'll Need:
* Strong experience with Azure cloud services and data engineering solutions (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, etc.).
* Proven expertise in building and maintaining data lakes and data pipelines .
* Familiarity with Databricks for distributed data processing and analytics.
* Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling .
* Solid understanding of SQL and data processing tools.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams to meet business data requirements.
* Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
