Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Falkirk, is currently looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef for a until 31st October 2024 contract on a rate of £13.52/hour PAYE. The working hours for this role will be 7.30am – 4.30pm, 4 days a week - 32 hours a week. Responsibilities: - Daily running of the kitchen - Food preparation as required - Working alongside Head & Sous Chef and the front of house team to ensure the smooth running of the organisation’s offer - Wood fired Pizza Oven on occasion - Ensuring health and safety records are kept up to date. - Managing food purchase and storage - Menu planning and managing COS in line with budgets - Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. - Be aware of the food preparation level during busy and quiet times. Essential Skills: - NVQ Level 2 or above in Catering - Minimum Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate - Previous experience working in a similar role - Good communication and team working - Highly organised with excellent planning - Able to work under pressure in a high-paced environment - A full driving licence If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
