What will I be doing? As Spares Demand Planner, you will be in charge of managing a global portfolio of Aircraft programmes equipped with Safran landing gears. You will aggregate market intelligence and apply Data Analytics methodologies to build and improve spare forecasting for your programme. Your job will be to achieve the best service level for our customers whilst maintaining the lowest stock level and minimising instability for our Supply Chain. To achieve your job, you will have the ownership of your Demand plan and you will lead and monitor any relevant activities to improve your Demand Plan. As all the actions you will recommend will be based on Data, you should be eager to manipulate data, communicate with Data and automate tasks when it is possible with appropriate IT tools. Complementary Description KEY ACTIVITIES - Build and maintain demand forecast and demand plan o Define and implement statistical forecast analysis o Work with Product Support manager, Supply Planning, Sales team and other key stakeholders to integrate market intelligence into the forecasts o Animate monthly forecast review per programme with appropriate Data Visualisation - Drive up forecast accuracy o Measure and report forecast accuracy o Capture alerts and weak signals where the forecast deviates from assumptions o Lead root-cause data analysis into major forecast variances o Lead initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and stability o Apply Data Analytics methodologies to recommend decisions based on data - Lead the Forecast Review process o Validate forecast and share with supply planning team and operations o Communicate to all levels of the business major changes to the demand plan - Manage data within Forecasting tool to ensure accuracy o Monitor data quality in our Forecasting tool o Manipulate data for your adhoc analysis o Automate basic tasks to focus on high value activities on medium/long term - Develop inventory policies and parameters o Optimise the Safety Stock, manage changes o Optimise inventory through sound and stable demand plans Job Requirements What do I need to succeed in the role? - Demand Planning / forecasting theory - Good understanding of forecasting tool, SAP and Power BI - MRP II best practices - Programme knowledge - Supply Chain Principles At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.
