The role: The DBS Digital is a high-performing team which has delivered several online products for customers. We are looking for enthusiastic senior data engineers who are self-motivated and self-managed who are skilled in the design, build, test, and maintenance of data management systems making sure they meet business and user needs. You will use your technical skills to oversee the full life-cycle of back-end development of the businesss data warehouse and lead a small team of data engineers to develop ETL processes, cube development for database and performance administration, and the dimensional design of the table structure. Lead on the management of the data entities and attributes required for System of Record and Data Marts. This includes generation of subject area diagrams and data dictionary to support the service. Provide data quality assurance for the service. This includes analysis of new in-bound data sources prior to ingestion and identification of existing data quality issues. An understanding of ETL scripts and code Experience of working with large data sets. Experience of Analytical / Visualisation tools such as Qlik. Non-technical Able to work closely with stakeholders at all levels. Able to communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences.
