We have an opportunity for an Internal Document Manager to join the team on the Sizewell C project. This role can be based in London or Leiston with some hybrid working options.
The Internal Document Manager within the Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) Quality Directorate is responsible for ensuring nuclear industry and major project best practice in documented information and records are defined and deployed across the transverse functions of the SZC organisation outside of the PDO.
The Internal Document Manager will take direction and support the Documents and Records Manager in supporting Licence Condition 6 compliance on the SZC project.
As the focal point for development of SZC's internal document strategy and implementation plan, including the necessary processes, systems, and infrastructure, the position requires an individual who is comfortable with record management and who will positively support the drive for document delivery across the organisation, including implementation of lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project.
The Internal Document Manager will work in close collaboration with the SZC Transverse functions outside of PDO to ensure that Documents are delivered consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) compliant with the nuclear site licence requirements and industry best practice.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Lead the development, implementation and optimisation of the internal document management approach for the SZC Project transverse functions which provides assurance that Document management processes are operated in conformance to requirements (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, GSR2) and are effective in terms of delivering intended results.
2. Champion and implement the documented information and records management processes across the SZC Project Transverse functions outside of PDO.
3. Support the document and records manager with engagement with Regulators (Office for Nuclear Regulation and Environment Agency) and related stakeholders on internal project document arrangements.
4. Ensure compliance with organisational requirements to support Nuclear Site Licence and Permit compliance.
5. Develop, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to promote process improvements.
6. Identify, capture and implement internal document management lessons learned from the HPC Project team and other industry experience for incorporation into the project development phases.
7. Undertake appropriate document management monitoring measurement and analysis of results in order to identify improvement opportunities.

1. Must be fully versed in modern documented information and document management, EDRMS systems operation and project controls techniques within multi-disciplined organisation.
2. Must have major infrastructure project records/document and data/information management experience.
3. Self-managing with strong organisational skills and ability to effectively implement document management arrangements.
4. Confident and articulate communicator, able to prepare presentation material, and comfortable addressing individuals, small groups and very large audiences.
5. Act as a strong advocate for best practice, able to support and defend practical deployment and solutions, whilst remaining open to the ideas of others.
6. The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

9. An ability to identify document management requirements, develop systems and processes for the benefit of the project and future operations team, resolve any anomalies, employ best practice, initiate set up, communication links and access for relevant team members.
Desirable
1. Knowledge & understanding of nuclear site license conditions.
2. Teamcenter' EDRMS experience would be advantageous.
3. Experience of operating within a Corporate Quality Function.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
1. Degree or equivalent qualifications in a subject that demonstrates relevant technical understanding and organisation and management skills.
2. Experience of interfacing with leadership, senior management, regulators and external stakeholders including supply chain organisations.
3. Experience of deployment of records/document and data/information management strategies, methodologies processes and tools within a major project environment.
4. Understanding and application of the Quality process applicable to Records Management.
5. Experience in the application of relevant codes and standards (e.g. ISO9001/19443, GSR2, ISO14001 and ISO 45001) in a multidisciplinary project environment.
6. Large-scale infrastructure project experience.
7. Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
This will be a contract role inside IR35 and will run to the end of the year and is highly likely to be long term.
