We are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to oversee the CPU of our bakery. This role requires strong leadership and organisational skills. We are seeking a manager who is eager to lead their team by example. The right candidate will be supported by our staffing manager, the quality assurance team and a general manager. The ideal candidate is experienced in running a high volume bakery as well as building and developing teams and implementing structure to the daily operations whilst having a long term plan in mind.
Responsibilities:
* Run the daily operations of our SALSA accredited bakery
* Collaborate closely with the Product Development Chef and general manager to launch new and transition between seasonal products
* Prepare and bake a variety of loaf cakes
* Produce sharing platters for our private clients’ business meetings
* Implement and follow all bakery procedures and structure
* Develop and implement production processes to optimise efficiency, minimise waste, and maintain product quality with guidance from the general manager and the quality assurance team
* Monitor equipment quality and work with team if new equipment or repairs are needed
* Monitor production output and adjust staffing levels and production schedules as needed to meet demand.
* Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability among staff members, encouraging open communication and problem-solving
* Oversee the team, taking full responsibility of rota and any time off requests from the team.
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff for the CPU and private catering
