About the role:
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are hiring for a Sales Executive as part of our European Sales team, based in Aberdeenshire. In this role, you will carry out sales activities on assigned clients, to generate and qualify sales leads to meet company goals. You will also ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with the Motive Offshore Quality Management System. You must be willing to travel within the UK with potential overseas travel.
About the team:
You will be joining our Sales Division, reporting directly to one of our Technical Sales Managers, Keith, and working closely with a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
The Sales team is central to Motive's operations, ensuring that the highest standards are consistently worked towards and improved upon, to meet the demands of our clients worldwide. This role will contribute to maintaining and improving the services we provide to our clients and helping drive the success of Motive's sales efforts.
And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values-driven and hard-working professional environment.
Responsibilities:
People
1. Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
2. Carry out sales visits to existing clients and/or potential clients. Generate and qualify leads from the sales visit(s). Negotiate and follow up with client accordingly.
3. Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues, etc.
4. Making Technical presentations and demonstrate how a product/service meets clients’ needs.
5. Develop and maintain the customer sales database as per departmental procedures.
6. Technically specify equipment for Proposals and work with Sales Admin team to submit proposals to client.
7. Work in conjunction with marketing/PR department to develop and maintain sale activities.
8. Attend exhibitions and sales events as required.
Planet

3. HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
4. Carry out quality checks on the product and service delivery at the end of the project, as per the Customer Satisfaction Management Procedure.
Product
1. Deal with Rental/Sale enquiries.
2. Provide guidance and support from customers during product evaluation, selection and specification(s).
3. Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
4. Liaise with engineering department regarding bespoke equipment enquiries when necessary.
5. Ensure customer service satisfaction, including after sales support interaction, and build strong client relationships.
6. Manage identified key Account(s) to ensure high levels of service.
7. Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development to provide market intelligence and forecast information.
Required skills / knowledge:
1. Previous Sales experience within lifting equipment and hydraulics.
2. Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of sales.
3. Working to tight deadlines and consistently prioritising workload.
4. Ability to achieve targets.
5. Good negotiator, with an innovative approach.
6. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
7. Energetic and confident personality.
8. Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
