Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Indian Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, food safety, and restaurant operations. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, managing food quality, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality.
Duties
1. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
2. Proficient in Curries and Tandoor.
3. Manage kitchen alone for lunch service.
4. Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
5. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
6. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
7. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain efficient operations.
8. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
9. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
10. Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting.
2. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
3. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
4. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
5. A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding dining experiences for guests.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
7. Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
