Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding – Laindon / Basildon – £25k-£35k +
I am looking for a dynamic individual who thrives on a challenge and is looking to develop and build a great career within the shipping industry.
My client is a privately owned business operating from multiple locations around the UK, USA and Ireland. Established in 2000, they have been providing global supply chain solutions for over 20 years.
Offering their own approach to freight services and supply chain, they are continuously looking at ways of improving their services to their clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in prospecting for business opportunities and supporting the sales staff.
2. Develop opportunities from customers, networks, and agents.
3. Complete quotations and supply the best possible solution.
4. Source buy rates where required and produce quotations from the system.
5. Ensure all quotations and costs are loaded onto the computer system.
6. Follow up on quotes with clients and agents and secure bookings.
7. Be aware of company product, services, key selling points, and general market knowledge.
8. Develop relationships with customers resolving any concerns and ensuring corrective action is taken.
9. Deliver new sales opportunities with overseas partners in line with Strategic Sales campaigns and promotions.
10. Maximise all new business sales opportunities.
11. Join sales managers on customer visits.
12. Achieve or exceed key performance indicators set.
