Role and Primary Responsibilities: Be accountable for the fee earning and business support recruitment processes through the entire lifecycle, including permanent, interim hires, graduates/trainees and apprentices. Support the Recruitment Adviser on advising hiring managers on appropriate selection techniques. Lead the continuous development and improvement of recruitment practices and processes and provide innovative solutions to resourcing challenges. Ensure strong diversity and inclusion practices throughout the recruitment process, supporting and encouraging managers when needed, whilst complying with all relevant employment or other law, including data protection compliance and GDPR. Manage the Digital Legal Delivery UK, US & EMEA recruitment budget, tracking return on investment from recruitment initiatives and activities. Participate in career events and job fairs. Keep abreast of recruitment legalisation and case law, ensuring that recruitment activity meets statutory requirements and adheres to best practice. Seek to recruit the best available talent in the market, including attracting 'passive' candidates through channels other than traditional recruitment agencies and through constant improvement of our approach to selection. Supporting the Recruitment Adviser in driving direct sourcing to achieve savings targets, reviewed annually. Ensure that we are maximising the return on our investment in LinkedIn and other direct channels. Ensure appropriate use of recruitment technology, enabling production of timely metrics, etc. Support projects related to process improvement as required. General Management Manage the Digital Legal Delivery Recruitment team (Recruitment Adviser and a Recruitment Assistant) and ensure work is managed in the most efficient way, providing development opportunities for the team. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Partners; hiring managers; business services teams; and the HR, L&D and Reward teams. Maintain clear, effective lines of communication, keeping all stakeholders informed on initiatives, developments, business issues and other critical topics. Build Digital Legal Delivery's professional network through relationships with universities; recruitment agencies; education organisations; and other partners. Work with HR and practice areas to implement induction programmes for new starters. Contribute to the development of our employer brand. Support project work related to recruitment and resourcing. Note that limited travel, to other offices, may be required from time to time. Qualifications, skills and experience Essential Excellent academics and a keen intellect. A proven track record of successfully leading a recruitment/resourcing function in a fast paced professional services environment. A proven ability to work both strategically and operationally, adapting to meet the needs of the business. Proven experience of creating bespoke recruitment campaigns and implementing an employer brand which reflects the organisation's vision and culture. Strong project management skills, with an ability to use management information to support resource planning. Well organised, articulate, numerate and commercial. Able to demonstrate resilience whilst building strong relationships with a demanding client base. Experience in use of LinkedIn Recruiter preferred. Sound technical knowledge of legislation regarding recruitment and of best-practice graduate and lateral resourcing strategies. Robust negotiation skills, results-orientated. Comfortable with ambiguity. Willingness to travel.
