JMC are working with an Aviation company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new Recruitment Manager to join their team on a short term, 4 week fixed term contract, to start ASAP.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This position is hybrid, working 3 days per week from home and 2 days per week in the office, based at Birmingham Airport. Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
Role Purpose
Responsible for all recruitment activity across multiple locations in a growing business, this is a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
Other duties involve:
1. Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, writing job adverts and supporting with development of job descriptions.
2. Involvement in and ongoing development of selection and interview processes.
3. Coaching and developing hiring managers' recruitment skills.
4. Maintenance of applicant tracking system.
5. Building recruitment campaigns to support business priorities.
6. Building and maintaining a strong talent pool of candidates.
7. Constantly acting as a brand ambassador.
8. Timely fulfilment of vacancies.
9. Issuing offers and liaising with HR to issue contract documentation.
10. Driving continuous improvement through the recruitment and selection process.
11. Production of recruitment metrics.
12. Ensuring legal compliance at all stages of recruitment and selection.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role, the Recruitment Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
1. An experienced recruitment professional with a proven track record of successfully supporting a fast-paced growth business.
2. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to professionally challenge strong opinions when required.
3. Strong IT skills with experience of applicant tracking systems.
4. Excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt to change.
5. Commercial acumen.
6. Close attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
7. Demonstrable experience of innovative recruitment solutions.
8. Experience of working within an airport, aviation production or maintenance environment is preferred but not essential.
9. Full driving licence.
10. The role will require the individual to obtain airside passes for various airports, as well as completing full security vetting (SC).
