Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative business that delivers specialist chemical and physical testing services for a wide range of clients within the Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Cosmetics industries, amongst others. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire a Trainee Technical Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish themselves in the scientific sales industry and gain valuable training.
Responsibilities will include:
* Developing and nurturing sales for the business
* Targeting a range of specialist markets within the scientific and industrial sectors
* Working with major names in the industry to prospect relevant companies and approach them in an enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner, helping them understand the benefits of the services offered.
* Engaging in technical conversations with key decision-makers and articulating specialist services in a manageable way for your audience
* Traveling overseas to exhibitions and conferences.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should hold a scientific degree, ideally in Physics or Chemical Engineering; however, we would also consider Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, etc. This is a commercially focused role, so you will need to work well with others and be confident when communicating over the phone and in person. Sales experience from a previous role is desired but not mandatory. The ability to be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an appetite to deliver results will be hugely important. A natural resilience and ability to persevere will also be highly useful. You will also hold a valid driver’s licence and have your own transport.

This role is mainly office-based but will have the capacity to be hybrid once you have been there for some time.
