Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Reward Manager to lead their compensation and benefits strategy. As Reward Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s reward, compensation, and benefits strategies. You will collaborate with senior leadership, the people team, and operational colleagues to create a comprehensive and equitable rewards approach, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Partner with senior leadership to design and implement impactful compensation and benefits strategies that align with business objectives. Lead job benchmarking and market reviews to ensure competitive compensation. Oversee the design and management of a colleague benefits package, including health and wellbeing programs, salary sacrifice schemes, and more. Develop KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of reward initiatives and provide data-driven insights. Ensure compliance with relevant compensation and benefits laws, regulations, and internal policies. Manage key reward initiatives, including annual performance calibrations, incentive cycles, and recognition programs. Develop and manage job levels, role grading, and competency frameworks. Drive the design and execution of strategic change initiatives related to organizational development. Work closely with the communications team to ensure clear messaging of reward and recognition programs across the organization. Experience and Knowledge: Essential: Proven experience in reward management within large, complex, and unionized environments. Demonstrated ability to design and implement reward strategies that support business performance and retention. Expertise in compensation principles, job evaluation, benchmarking, and benefits design. Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and business partnering skills, including experience engaging with senior leadership. Sound understanding of UK employment law, salary sacrifice, and pension scheme requirements. Desirable: CIPD or equivalent qualification in Strategic HR or Reward Management. Experience leading and managing a reward team and large-scale reward projects. This is a position is partially remote, with 3-4 days a week working from home and working in the office 1-2 days per week. (Offices are based in either Birmingham or London so access to either offices on a regular basis is required). Key Attributes: Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
