Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Bishopton, Old Kilpartick & Neilston areas, delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The successful candidate will oversee all kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
Duties
1. Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants.
2. Plan and develop innovative menus that meet customers' preferences and seasonal availability.
3. Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or promotions.
4. Manage inventory and control food costs.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
6. Oversee food preparation processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
7. Coordinate with suppliers to source fresh ingredients and manage inventory levels.
8. Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices.
9. Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience working as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
2. Strong culinary and leadership skills with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
3. Excellent team management abilities to lead and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
4. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
5. Exceptional organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
6. A passion for creating delicious dishes and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Type: Full-time (Based on 4 over 7 work week)
