We are looking for a Senior Director Human Resources (HR). to lead the UK Human Resources team and contribute to overall strategy and policy-making by advising the Management on human resource implications of its decisions.
You will contribute as a senior manager within the Pharmaron UK management structure, providing human resources leadership and input to guide strategy development and operational management. You will also lead the organisation’s HR departments, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, HR information system (HRIS) and financial planning of the department in line with organisational objectives and in compliance with legislation.
Responsibilities:
• Guide, and keep informed, Management and Global HR, of strategic HR matters, providing strategic counsel on all people matters and challenge the Management where appropriate suggesting alternative options
• Contribute to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and c-suite talent acquisition.
• Champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee development making recommendations for improvements.
• Update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines and enforce organisation values and culture.
• Lead the analysis and translate key data into an effective and commercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture.
• Control the HR budget and report on current and future staffing costs and initiatives.
• Lead on special projects and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation.
• Champion change initiatives getting buy-in from the Management.
• Stay up-to-date with employment law and GDPR requirements.
• The role requires meticulous attention to detail and for all work to be conducted strictly in accordance with company Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
REQUIREMENTS –
Qualifications:
• BSc degree in Human Resources or an equivalent degree
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK)
• Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (or equivalent) qualification would be advantageous
Experience:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in relevant role within a fast paced organisation
• Held previous position of seniority, able to establish credibility and build department accountability
• Proven experience in motivating, developing, managing and empowering team members
• Proven experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of HR situations
• Experience in mapping and improving processes and systems
