Key Responsibilities:
1. Culinary Excellence:
o Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing menus that align with Wolfox Savoy’s high standards.
o Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
o Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
2. Kitchen Operations:
o Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring smooth workflow and team coordination.
o Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
o Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to ensure seamless operations.
3. Team Leadership:
o Support the Head Chef in leading, training, and mentoring the kitchen team.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
o Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback to team members.
4. Innovation & Menu Development:
o Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menus to keep the offering fresh and exciting.
o Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu where appropriate.
5. Cost Control & Efficiency:
o Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality.
o Ensure efficient use of kitchen resources and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-end kitchen.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Creativity and passion for delivering innovative and memorable dining experiences.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
