Company Overview Lumentum is an industry leader in photonics technology, with: A global presence of approximately 7,500 employees Innovative solutions driving advancements across various industries Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Director for the EMEA region to join our team at the Caswell site near Towcester. The HR Director will lead and manage the HR function across EMEA, requiring a strategic HR leader with: Strong UK-based HR experience Good experience working in a Manufacturing/Operations enviornment Preferably a background in a US-based high-tech company Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management: Directly manage and develop one UK-based HR Business Partner (HRBP) Coordinate with a wider team of six HR professionals across different HR functions in the EMEA region Ensure alignment and collaboration on key HR initiatives Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across EMEA Provide leadership and support to the broader HR team HR Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Lumentum’s global and regional objectives Drive talent management, succession planning, and employee development programs Oversee employee relations, performance management, and organizational development Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across the EMEA region Promote HR best practices in alignment with global HR standards Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate closely with the Group VP of HR based in the US and other senior leaders Provide regular reports and updates on HR metrics and initiatives to senior management Travel: Some travel within the EMEA region is required to support HR activities and initiatives Qualifications Education and Certification: CIPD certification preferred Experience: Extensive HR experience in the UK, ideally in a US-based company environment Proven track record in the high-tech industry, especially manufacturing, is highly desirable Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws in the EMEA region Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
