As Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supervising the kitchen, organizing the workload, and delegating to junior chefs. You will have gained skills in a similar environment and use your skillset to demonstrate innovation, support with menu design, and deputize in the Head Chef's absence. You will be proactive in self-development and the development of all members of the kitchen brigade. Motivating and promoting positive behavior is also key.
The successful candidate will be professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing Rosette Standard food. You will work well within the team and lead by example to the brigade.
Key requirements include:
* You will have gained credible experience within a professional food environment with a Professional Cookery qualification to Level 3-4 or proven experience.
* A passion for food and ethically sourced produce with a pride in its delivery to the plate.
* The ability to lead a section and chefs in ensuring food is prepped and ready for service with great timekeeping and organizational skills.
* Your potential, commitment, and ability to work under pressure alongside being an excellent team player is every bit as important as your knife-handling skills.
