We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent teacher of Drama with effect from 22 April or 1 September 2025. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers, ECTs, and former teachers returning to teaching. This is an exceptional opportunity for an excellent teacher to join a strong and successful faculty.
Oathall is an ambitious and forward-thinking 11-16 community college with 1300 students. We are strategic partners in a local Teaching School Alliance as well as a federation with 3 other local secondary schools. The school is characterised by our high expectations and an absolute commitment to raising standards and achievement for all. We are committed to Continuing Professional Learning through a strong training programme.
Drama operates within the Performance Faculty along with Dance, Music, and Physical Education. The subject is a popular option at GCSE and is taught in specialist accommodation. Standards are extremely high, and students achieve excellent results year on year. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher wanting to provide students with performance opportunities beyond lessons.
The college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Applications should be completed using a teacher application form along with our recruitment monitoring form (available on our website) and a letter of application (no more than two sides of A4).
Please email the documents to jobs@oathall.org or post to Mrs. Sara Atkin no later than 9 am on Monday 27 January 2025.
Suitable candidates may be invited to interview prior to the closing date, and we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.
