Information and Records Manager

Job overview
You will support teams across NICE to work more effectively with information, ensuring compliance with information legislation and policies. Initially, you will focus on NICE’s compliance with the Public Records Act and ensuring NICE meets its statutory requirements. You will also play a central role in managing a comprehensive organisation-wide Records Management programme.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead the RM aspects of the migration to SharePoint/Microsoft 365, ensuring information is reviewed and managed appropriately.
2. Contribute to and lead NICE-wide projects related to IM/RM.
3. Ensure NICE information is managed in line with relevant legislation and standards, actively monitor compliance, and promote good IM/RM across NICE.
4. Update and provide appropriate guidance to staff across NICE.
5. Own the retention and disposal schedule, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with The National Archives.
7. Ensure compliance with transfers of records to The National Archives under the Public Records Act.
8. Line manage the Assistant Information and Records Manager.
9. Deputise for the Head of IG and RM as required.

Person specification
Education
* Educated to degree level or relevant experience.
* Recognised Information/Records Management qualification or relevant experience.
Experience
* Experience providing expert RM advice to staff/stakeholders.
* Experience appraising records and knowledge of transfers to The National Archives.
* Experience managing SharePoint for Records Management.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of the legal framework for Records Management.
* Thorough knowledge of electronic document management systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
