About The Role

As a Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love. You’ll offer diverse choices, considering cultural preferences and dietary requirements. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, or liaising with support teams on nutrition standards, Resident wellbeing remains your priority.
HC-One seeks a Head Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to work well with others, organizational skills, independence in planning, and attention to following recipes accurately. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
