Data Security & Protection Lead (Deputy Records Manager)

As a line manager for two small sub teams and also as a Deputy Records Manager, this role can help with your personal development and people management skills. As the Data Security & Protection Lead for the Trust you will be responsible for the successful completion, submission and audit of the new Data Security & Protection Toolkit.
Main duties of the job
Leading on creation, monitoring, review and submission of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs), Data Security & Protection related Trust policies and processes, support and input for contracts and procurement.
Monitoring and maintaining excellent 97% and above current mandatory Data Security and Protection compliance.
Leading Trust risk and incident response around Data Security & Protection helping to raise awareness and provide support for lessons learned. Responsible for reporting Data Security & Protection incidents externally via Toolkit and ICO.
Supporting wider Trust Data Security & Protection 'Team' including SIRO and Caldicott Guardian. Responsible for new and annual refresher training for Information Asset Owners (IAOs) and supporting Administrators. In turn taking a lead role around the Trust Information Asset Register and Record of Processing Activities (RoPA).

Qualifications
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Relevant experience in legal, compliance, data security (IT and/or information), Teaching or training qualification
Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
* Ability to have difficult conversations with different range of stakeholders
* Ability to influence staff, delegate work and also challenge decision making
Experience
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK and Euro Data Protection Laws and practices. DPA GDPR
* Experience delivering training face to face / on-line virtual sessions
* Experience of leading / monitoring / completing and submission of DSP Toolkit
* Knowledge and experience of effective use of Data Protection legislation
* Knowledge and experience of supporting DSP under emergency situations
* Knowledge and Experience developing DSP strategies, policies and procedures
* Knowledge and Experience completing, monitoring and approving DPIAs and ISAs
* Experience working with IT systems such as staff / patient / client records, information asset ownership, management and asset register
* Experience working in line management / senior management role
* Experience with Cybers Essentials and Cyber Security
* Experience creating and developing training both online / face to face and alternative methods to support accessibility
