The Bridge House is a family-run hotel looking for a new sous chef. Hourly wage plus monthly tips based on hours worked.
Hours will be around 32 per week to include weekends and evenings.
The duties of a sous chef primarily involve assisting the head chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing meals, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.
Duties:
1. Assist the head chef in managing the kitchen operations
2. Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to recipes and standards
3. Oversee food preparation and ensure proper portioning and presentation
4. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items
5. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area
7. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Experience:
1. Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role
2. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
