A leading Mixed School in Haringey is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Drama Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Drama Teacher will foster creativity, confidence, and a love of theatre in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Drama Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering performance, script analysis, and theatre history. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Drama examinations and practical performances. Cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment where students can explore their dramatic talents. Assess and monitor student progress in drama, providing constructive and encouraging feedback as a Drama Teacher. Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular drama clubs and school productions. Encourage an appreciation for a diverse range of dramatic styles and theatrical traditions. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Drama or Performing Arts. Demonstrated experience in teaching Drama at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). Strong knowledge of dramatic literature, performance techniques, and theatre history. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and directorial skills, capable of inspiring students as a Drama Teacher. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse dramatic abilities and interests of students. A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the performing arts department.
