We’re searching for an experienced Training Manager to lead our in-house training programme. The right candidate is someone who will have SCA certification and be confident in delivering an SCA curriculum to both our wholesale clients and e-commerce customers.
Role scope: The Training Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programmes tailored to our two key customer groups – wholesale (cafes, restaurants, hotels) and ecommerce (the general public).
What you need to have:
1. Experience in teaching a training curriculum to coffee professionals
2. Experience in educational content development
3. Confidence in explaining complex concepts clearly
4. Strong leadership and communication skills
5. Advanced coffee knowledge – brewing, sensory skills, advanced brewing equipment
6. Experience with the SCA programme
7. An active SCA certification is preferable
8. Competent use of Microsoft Office and calendar/planning software
9. A valid UK driver’s license
10. Proficient (native standard) written English
11. Availability to work in our headquarters in Brixton, London, five days a week
12. Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe
What you’d be responsible for:
1. Training development: Creating and implementing SCA-standard training programmes for our wholesale customers
2. Event coordination: Organising and delivering home masterclasses and public events related to coffee
3. Team management: Leading a team to deliver consistently high-quality training
4. Content creation: Create engaging educational materials including written, video, and interactive content
5. Collaboration: Working with multiple departments in the business to refine training, informed by industry trends
6. Quality assurance: Ensure all training adheres to the company’s standards of quality and consistency
Bear in mind: You will spend most of your time at our headquarters in Brixton, South London. There will be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends (compensated by time off in lieu).
