Our vision is to “Pioneer fairer financial outcomes by empowering lenders to deliver and enabling savers to prosper” We are doing this by building a unique and highly scalable data driven multi-asset bank through a partnership of ecosystems, specialising in the delivery of forward flow partnerships and portfolio acquisitions from non-bank lenders, alongside our own brand deposits.
Purpose of Role
As SilverRock’s business strategy is built around data consumption and modelling, the Data Engineer will hold a critical role in the business to ensure our data and development of financial data meets our financial reporting requirements. The data engineer will assist the Data Lead in designing the data strategy and design for the business around the way it ingests data sources from third parties to support the business. The role will be pivotal on the cloud data design programme, to meet business and technical development objectives, defining the data engineering policies and frameworks required to ensure our data is secure and accessible for business and regulatory reporting.
Key Accountabilities
* Developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining data architecture
* Aligning architecture with business needs
* Identifying ways to maintain and improve data quality, efficiency and reliability
* Supporting the business leads in identifying key efficiencies which we can leverage from the data platform to support SilverRock in becoming more operationally efficient and sustainable
Key Required Skills
* Proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries, transforming, and analysing data and modelling
* Designing, building, and maintaining ELT pipelines with focus on ELT applications
* Cloud platform experience on services like AWS, GCP or Azure
* Familiarity with BI and data visualisation tools
* Consistent track record of aligning with and collaborating across Tech teams to design and deliver scalable data solutions
* Keeping up to date with data regulations and changes (FCA/PRA/BOE)
* Excellent communication and the ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment
* The candidate will be pragmatic and able to act decisively, particularly under pressure
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Cloud and data consumption
* Strong understand of cloud and data security relating for financial / customer data
