Clinical Training Manager
National role – travel required across England (ideally you will be based in the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire/Berkshire/Buckinghamshire)

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role
Reporting to the Group Head of Learning & Development, you’ll lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical, statutory, and mandatory training programmes across the organisation. You’ll also play a key role in supporting Home Trainers, guiding newly qualified and international nurses, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
This is a varied, fast-paced position where you’ll balance hands-on course delivery with the strategic design of clinical training pathways. You’ll be the go-to subject matter expert for clinical L&D and have a real influence on how care is delivered nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, plan, and deliver internal clinical nurse training programmes nationally
* Lead on the delivery of statutory and mandatory training across homes
* Support induction and ongoing development in newly commissioned homes
* Coach and support international nurses and newly qualified nurses (including OSCE prep)
* Champion and evolve the Learning Management System (LMS)
* Provide clinical training expertise to Home Managers and senior stakeholders
* Ensure all training activity meets CQC, awarding body, and professional standards
* Build strong relationships with staff, Home Trainers, and third-party training providers
* Support compliance through accurate record-keeping and timely reporting
* Promote a culture of professional development, continuous improvement, and safe care

Travel Requirements
This is a national role. Regular travel across England is required, with occasional overnight stays. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC PIN
* Recent experience delivering clinical training (e.g. catheterisation, tissue viability, phlebotomy)
* Strong understanding of moving & handling, infection control, and statutory requirements
* Confident in training delivery, course planning, and working across multi-site services
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage a national training diary
Desirable Criteria
* Formal teaching or assessor qualification (or working towards)
* Experience supporting international nurses and OSCE preparation
* Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning tools
* Experience writing lesson plans and designing clinical programmes
* Training in moving & handling people and key risk assessments (Level 4 preferred)
