As we continue our growth journey at 2plan, we are looking for a Tester to join our Technology function. You'll be responsible for the testing of software, documentation and reporting of bugs within physical software assets to ensure we have delivered ‘Fit for Purpose’ software to our users. Providing expertise in all aspects of IT testing, with the ability to align testing processes with business requirements, this role is key in the support of our overall organisational goals. This is a hybrid role in Leeds. Key Accountabilities: Working within the IT Training & Quality Team following a hybrid Agile Scrum/Waterfall methodology. Adhere to the project lifecycle standards, ensuring that all activities align with organisational policies and objectives. Provide demonstrations to users and wider business and invite them to User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Identify risks and issues early to ensure they are resolved efficiently at all stages in the development lifecycle. Ensure that all identified bugs are meticulously documented, to facilitate quick and accurate resolution. Foster strong, open communication with the IT DevOps team, maintaining a collaborative relationship. Share expertise with colleagues to enhance the team's overall performance. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for new ways of working. Advocate for system enhancements and usability improvements, aiming to optimise the overall end-user experience. What will you need to succeed? Proficient in manual software testing and actively interested in enhancement and improvement of processes. Broad system analysis experience. Keen to develop IT analysis and testing skills demonstrating excellence with Microsoft and other key technologies. Demonstrate combined expertise and understanding in a variety of application and development frameworks. Learn to demonstrate and apply knowledge of Agile Scrum and related methodologies. Prove and understand the importance of the user experience and user journey when testing. Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice. Keen ownership, analytical, problem solving skills. Strong planning and prioritisation skills. Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and be able to independently and jointly develop desired solutions. Collaborative working style.
