Role Title: Automation Tester
Location: Remote - mostly remote with adhoc travel to Newcastle or Birmingham
Work Pattern: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join the Service Award Subs team in the Citizen Information space. The role is set to commence in early January 2025 (around the 6th) and offers an initial contract duration of 6 months, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.
2. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement effective testing strategies.
3. Utilize BDD frameworks to define, execute, and automate test scenarios.
4. Ensure seamless integration testing using tools like Cucumber and Rest Assured.
5. Work with source control tools such as Git to manage code repositories effectively.
Requirements:
1. Proficiency in Java (8 or higher) for developing test scripts.
2. Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
3. Expertise in REST API testing using tools like Rest Assured.
4. Solid understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
5. Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
6. Previous experience working at or beyond the SFIA Level 4 competency is required.
