Salary: £34,500 - £39,000
Location: Cambridge, UK/Hybrid
Contract: Permanent, Full time – 35 hours per week
Are you ready to take your sales career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven Sales Executive to join our Academic Higher Education (HE) sales team!
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About the role
As a HE Sales Executive, you will be responsible for selling our Higher Education products across the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland, and Germany). You will collaborate closely with the HE Sales Manager, the territory's Key Accounts Manager, and other members of our sales, marketing, and editorial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to our ambitious growth plans using a proactive and consultative sales approach.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and identify new market-led publishing opportunities.
* Travel 4 to 5 times a year to visit universities within the territory, balancing face-to-face campus visits with remote calls from home and the office.
* Provide regular sales reports, product feedback, and market insights to help shape our ongoing business strategy.
About you
You will have knowledge of the sales territory and some experience in publishing sales. An interest in the Higher Education sector and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets are essential.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are a must, along with strong organisational skills and proficiency with systems such as CRM and Salesforce. An inquisitive and persistent, can-do approach to problem-solving is highly valued. While the ability to speak German is desirable, it is not essential.
If you are passionate about sales, eager to travel, and ready to take on new challenges, we want to hear from you!
Rewards and benefits
We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:
* 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
* Discretionary annual bonus
* Group personal pension scheme
* Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
* Green travel schemes
We are a hybrid working organisation, and we offer a range of flexible working options from day one. We expect most hybrid-working colleagues to spend 40-60% of their time at their dedicated office or location. We will also consider other work arrangements if you wish to work more flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
