About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our UK testing programme. As the lead of the UK controls and testing, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the newly formed central testing team, enhancing our control environment and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the UK business and enterprise risk management partners in our US parent company.
What you’ll do
1. Oversee the UK control testing programme, ensuring an effective and efficient approach to testing.
2. Develop and mentor the newly formed central testing team fostering an environment of continuous improvement and excellence.
3. Identify and deliver projects aimed at improving the business’s control environment, ensuring compliance with UK regulation, Enterprise standards and business needs.
4. Inform senior stakeholders of improvement opportunities and control weaknesses, providing actionable feedback and recommendations.
5. Enhance and refine the testing methodology, adapting best practices and innovating approaches.
6. Collaborate with enterprise business partners in the parent US company to align strategies and ensure cohesive risk management.
What we’re looking for
1. Risk management experience in a regulated environment.
2. Ability to lead a control testing programme delivering results through others.
3. An ability to self-identify process improvements to improve efficiency, and then execute them.
4. Previous experience of working in a highly-regulated industry and/or corporate environment.
5. Previous experience of control testing and/or development.
6. Great stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of different people.
7. Able to partner within and beyond the team, building productive, cross-business relationships.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to remain focused and flexible in a changing environment.
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham offices.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
