About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse performance styles and theatrical traditions.
* Plan and deliver lessons that foster creativity, communication skills, and critical thinking, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including improvisation, script work, and technical theatre.
* Assess student progress through performances, presentations, and written work, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
* Contribute to the development of the Drama curriculum, integrating current theatrical trends and performance techniques, and participate in departmental planning.
* Organize and lead school productions, drama clubs, and theatre trips, promoting student engagement and artistic expression.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Drama subject knowledge, including performance, directing, and theatre studies.
* Demonstrated experience teaching Drama to A-Level, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and performance skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a community-focused environment.
