Job Description:
Our client is a global player in the contract catering industry that supplies catering and facility services to various sites throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef for their site in Poole. This company offers excellent benefits and opportunities to progress.
The successful candidate will work 5/7 days from 6am - 2:30pm/11am-7:30pm with 1 in 3 weekends, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards.
2. Support manager in maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within a budget.
3. Be responsible for maintaining up-to-date product and menu knowledge.
4. Maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control.
5. Comply with health and safety and food safety legislations.
What You Need To Be a Successful Sous Chef:
1. Previous Experience as a Chef de Partie or Higher.
2. NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required.
3. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
