Summary
An opportunity has arisen in our L&D department for a Learning and Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expertise in L&D, working collaboratively with other members of the L&D Team to agree and outline the design and delivery of classroom and on the job training.
* Lead and plan the annual calendar of development training delivery, obtaining agreement from relevant department leads on training hours and content to be delivered, linking with talent reviews and succession planning.
* Fully explore and utilise the capability of the in-house LMS system (Cranswick Core), generic L&D inbox and training calendar.
* Identify suitable SMEs for on-the-job and classroom training and provide Train the Trainer and on-the-job coaching as required, in line with Group and audit requirements.
* Conduct in-depth training needs analysis and design, develop, and implement fit-for-purpose, blended L&D material.
* Manage, develop and deliver onsite management development programmes for Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Shift Managers, delivering engaging, blended learning solutions to support people management, personal development, and increasing line manager capability.
* Lead the onsite graduate, apprenticeship, and engineering pathways, providing structure and clear plans for new hires.
* Lead the L&D team to ensure excellent customer service regarding training and development.
* Design, develop, and deliver training offerings for department and senior managers.
* Build and deliver the annual site L&D plan to meet business skill requirements.
* Support delivery and facilitation of technical certifications as needed.
* Develop and maintain competency frameworks for all roles, providing employees with clear development pathways.
* Establish communication channels for training information dissemination.
* Implement and maintain digital solutions for training design, delivery, feedback, and ROI demonstration.
* Manage the central training database, including records, certificates, compliance, and audit information.
* Develop and maintain a training catalogue and L&D SharePoint to showcase offerings.
Desirable experience & abilities
* Experience in an L&D or Training role involving development, delivery, and facilitation at senior levels.
* Ability to design and implement blended content and solutions across various topics.
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LMS systems.
* Knowledge of current training delivery methods and tools.
