About the English and Drama Teacher position
* Fulfil duties as outlined in the latest School Teachers' Pay and Conditions document, adhering to the professional standards for qualified teachers and the General Teaching Council's code of conduct.
* Teach a class, ensuring that all planning, preparation, and assessments are tailored to meet the individual learning and social needs of the pupils.
* Champion the school's ethos and core values, fostering a positive atmosphere both within the classroom and across the wider school community.
* Provide clear, timely, and informative reports to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Governors (where required), and parents/carers.
* Deliver accurate assessments of pupils' progress and learning, ensuring they are aligned with ambitious and appropriate targets.
* Actively promote the school's mission statement of developing potential, touching hearts, and engaging minds, both in the classroom and beyond.
English and Drama Teacher's Requirements
* Be a qualified teacher & hold QTS/QTLS or be within the four-year rule as an overseas trained teacher.
* Must have experience teaching children and young people with Autism / ASC, ADHD, and associated learning difficulties.
* Must have experience teaching Performing Arts and English.
* Able to commit full-time during term-time.
* Excellent communication skills.
