About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at LexisNexis Intellectual Property (LNIP), you will be designing, building, and maintaining complex data systems to support business needs. Utilizing your expertise, you’ll contribute to maintaining a Data Platform that serves our crucial and critical product. Your role will be critical in ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of business-critical data.
Responsibilities
* Work across our ecosystem of products and Data Platforms.
* Collaborate with technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
* Develop and maintain data infrastructure supporting real-time data processing.
* Implement scalable data ingestion and pipelines for unified data management.
* Apply development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
* Design APIs for diverse business units, ensuring efficient data lineage tracking.
* Utilize DataOps principles to enhance system performance and reliability.
* Automate system lifecycle management for robustness and scalability.
* Integrate advanced data engineering techniques and tools to streamline processes.
* Resolve technical issues as necessary.
* Stay updated with new technology developments.
Requirements
* Experience in SQL Server, Data Lake (Azure/AWS).
* Proficiency in Python and Node.js preferred.
* Knowledge of large-scale data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and cloud-native tools (Azure Synapse, RedShift).
* Familiarity with software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Agile.
* Experience with analytics technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
Nice to Have
* Understanding of Clickhouse, Druid, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Delta Share & Delta Lake.
* Ability to work with complex Patent and Litigation data models.
* Experience with Pandas & PySpark.
