We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team at our renowned Gastro Pub in Irthington, Carlisle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and exceptional leadership skills to assist the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
* Contribute to menu planning and development
* Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary
* Oversee food production to ensure timely service
* Help create a positive work environment for kitchen staff
* Uphold high standards of quality, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen
Skills:
* Proficient in food safety practices and regulations
* Strong experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
* Previous experience in a busy restaurant environment
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
