Job Summary
South East Coast Ambulance Service is seeking an experienced professional to join our resilience team on a substantive basis, providing essential support to the trust and its multi-agency partners. The position will specifically focus on the Command and Resilience Education workstreams, emphasizing quality improvement, governance, and assurance. The role covers the entire geographical area of the trust, with transportation provided and the option for remote work.
The Resilience Department is responsible for delivering SECAmb's ongoing program to increase the resilience of the Trust to respond to Major Incidents and business disruptions while continuing to deliver critical services that its stakeholders and community rely upon.
The EPRR Team supports the delivery of the Trust's resilience program by developing relevant Trust policies, procedures, and plans. The team collaborates with and co-produces plans with the Local Resilience Forums, Local Health Resilience Partnerships, and Blue Light Forums.
EPRR Managers are key to the delivery of the EPRR agenda to the trust. This role will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of plans and ensuring delivery in line with Emergency Planning guidance.
The post-holder will share specialist knowledge with all departments, delivering expertise in relation to emergency planning, business continuity, and resilience for SECAmb.
Main Duties of the Job
* Maintain and build on existing strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders such as Local Resilience Forums (LRFs), Local Health Resilience Partnerships (LHRPs), NHS partners (local/regional/national), and other agencies (e.g., other emergency services).
* Contribute to the development and implementation of action plans related to EPRR compliance requirements and business continuity.
* Support the writing of, and provide advice on, appropriate Trust policies and operating procedures.
* Ensure Trust site-specific plans are compliant with relevant legislation, effective, reviewed, and exercised.
* Respond to incidents/public events in a clinical, command, or advisory capacity as required, ensuring a high level of knowledge and expertise is maintained.
* Ensure that the Trust maintains its resilience and can respond to Major, critical, Specialist/multiagency incidents and Business Continuity issues as per relevant guidance and legislation.
